Mr. Espey serves as Intelagrid's Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, including sales operations, manufacturing and purchasing optimization, software development processes and methodologies, cost controls, and financial reporting. Mr. Espey is responsible for the enterprise processes that allow Intelagrid to continue to grow at its phenomenal rate and continue to effectively serve its customers. Mr. Espey was one of the original financial backers of Intelagrid and helped to launch the original software deployment.

Mr. Espey is a recognized leader in the IT industry, having given numerous lectures and presentations on various software development topics on multiple continents. He has served in various roles throughout his career and for the past 15 years has been involved in every aspect of IT management. He most recently served as the COO of Amentra, a Red Hat Company and was responsible for its growth strategy as it moved from a small, privately held, regionally focused IT consulting shop to an international subsidiary of Red Hat, the leading provider of open source technologies and solutions. Mr. Espey has a reputation for operational excellence, financial discipline, entrepreneurship, and hands-on leadership. Prior to his role as COO he served in numerous executive positions, including SVP of Commercial Operations and Vice President of Southeast Operations.

Prior to joining Amentra, Mr Espey served as a project lead and program manager for a nationwide systems integrator where he was responsible for architecting and building software solutions for companies in a variety of industries, including e-commerce, media, and most importantly, energy. He built a reputation for excellence in enterprise integration, SOA, agile development methodologies, data analytics, and open source software while working for this fast-paced consulting firm.
