Intelagrid Partners with Industry Leader in Manufacturing

Locust Grove, VA. July 19, 2010 -

Intelagrid, LLC, the leading provider of standards-based smart grid solutions, today announced that it has entered a strategic partnership with General Microcircuits (GMI) of Mooresville, NC to mass produce its smart grid hardware. GMI will handle assembly and logistics out of its Mooresville facility. Intelagrid placed its first order several weeks ago and was very pleased with the results. While initial production will be performed from Mooresville, GMI has offshore capabilities that it will utilize as Intelagrid's volume increases.

"We are a very innovative company and require a partner that can move with the same frenetic pace and respond quickly as we change the game in smart grid. We continue to attract increasingly larger customers, and it was imperative that we find a partner who could not only scale to our growing needs but also serve us with flexibility in assembly, procurement, and design. With GMI we get the flexibility we need today as we produce in a location that is right in our backyard, but can also scale and leverage economies of scale through offshore production when the time is right. We have found an ideal partner in GMI and look forward to growing the business together with them", said John Espey, COO of Intelagrid.

Dave Dalton, EVP of Sales and Marketing for GMI, added, "We met with the executives from Intelagrid and quickly realized that they needed a partner with a very unique blend of manufacturing talent and industry expertise. We are very pleased that Intelagrid has chosen to work with us in the very exciting smart grid realm."
