| The Intelagrid ecoBox home gateway
is actually three devices in one. First, there’s a
wireless access point and router, which lets users connect to both
wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps) and wireless-B (802.11b at
11Mbps) devices. Secondly, there is a built-in smart home
command and control system that provides command and control of
lighting, appliances, HVAC, security systems, and future products
that support ZigBee and/or Wi-Fi. Finally, ecoBox is a powerful
energy auditing system that will monitor usage and provide real
time visibility and comparative data including tips on how to
make your home more energy efficient. The ecoBox provides the ability for remote access through the intelahome web-based portal using a computer or mobile phone. The router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection. The ecoBox is a plug and play device; once connected to a broadband modem it will automatically provision itself. ecoBox is a true smart home energy gateway capable of supporting multiple standards based devices. |
